The Leela Goa Review: Best Luxe Stay In Goa?

Spread across 75 acres of land, this stunning beach resort by The Leela is located in the town of Mobor in Cavelossim Goa. The resort includes lush green grounds, lagoons, river on one side and a private beach. The resort offers premiere rooms, lagoon terrace rooms, various suites, villas and a presidential villa. This is considered one of the best properties in South Goa and hence why we had to choose it for the stay. Let’s find out if it was worth the splurge.

BMW X5 & 7 Series Pick Up

The resort is approximately 35kms from the nearest Airport which takes about 40-55 minutes of road travel. The Leela Goa has its own fleet of BMW cars with the X5s and 7 series. We opted for the pick up and drop by the hotel in 7 Series and it was nothing short of luxurious and ultimate comfort. The chauffeur was well-dressed, very professional and informed us about the surroundings and the hotel on way. The panoramic sunroof gave us exceptional views of the Goan monsoon sky. Check out my Instagram reel in this car that crossed 80,000 views to see the experience.

Lagoon Suite

The Lagoon Suite is located in an area of 968 sq ft which includes a separately located cottage with two private lagoon facing balconies, a living area, master bedroom and two separate washrooms. With four nights ahead of us, the suite was the perfect abode with its ultra spacious and airy rooms. The interiors are done tastefully keeping in mind all possible amenities and comfort for the guests. Watch my reel on @aartirattansharma to see the breathtakingly gorgeous view of the monsoon rains and view of the lagoon from the balcony.

The Leela Goa has numerous dining options however due to the prevailing pandemic restrictions in the state, a few restaurants were closed. We had a great experience dining at the Riverside which I have written about in detail in a different blog post. I was amazed at how good the food was here at The Leela Goa. Be it the endless breakfast spread that went on across three dining halls, in-room dining which was delivered perfectly packed, at a great temperature or the random iced tea & sandwich breaks, they were all simply delicious.

Private Beach

The part that I was looking forward to the most was the beach with a private entrance through the resort. This beach was so clean, secluded (just what we were looking for during these times) with security guards at all corners and waking up to the sound of this beach was pure bliss. See the experience below via videos in the reels below at @aartirattansharma on Instagram.

Staff, Service & Amenities

Hospitality was at its best with the most courteous staff, accommodating and very helpful all throughout the stay. The spa and pool were closed due to the current Covid restrictions. The in-room dining and food at the restaurants was delivered timely as promised. The whole team will make you feel at home. It was a very welcoming touch for Namita from the PR team to come and meet us at arrival.
